All Students

Students use the FCPS Username and Password to log onto network computers and to log into the following accounts:

  • StudentVUE
  • Schoology
    • FCPS Username:  Student ID number
    • FCPS Password  Network Password set by students
  • FCPS Google Apps

If your password has expired, use the password recovery system (see details below) to reset your password.  If this does not work, please ask one of your teachers to reset your password.

New Students

Student accounts are automatically created.  To log into any of your accounts, please ask one of your teachers to assist you in resetting your password.  Any of your teachers can do this.  Once this is done you can access all of your accounts.  Set up Password Recovery (details below) once you are able to log into your accounts.

Password Recovery

Students can now set up a way to recover or reset their network password. The Account Manager allows FCPS students to set a password recovery option.

Once students set up the Account Manager, they can also reset their network password from home

  • If you have not set up Password Recovery, any of your teachers can assist you in resetting your password

Technology Access

FCPS provides an array of technology resources to ensure students experience a digitally rich learning environment that meets their instructional needs.

Technology@Home

This program enables Fairfax County Public School students and staff to purchase technology products at discount rates.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Fairfax County Public Schools is committed to working with students and staff members to create a 21st-century learning environment. To support this goal, students and staff members are able to access our wireless network with their personal devices (laptops, netbooks, tablets, smartphones, etc.) during the school day. FCPS has implemented a self-registration process that auto-directs devices to a secure, pre-determined network during the registration process. Once connected, students will have access to FCPS resources on their personal devices. Students who need help to register their device should see their school technology support team.
With classroom teacher approval, students may use their own devices to access the Internet and collaborate with other students. By allowing students to use their own technology on campus, we are hoping to increase access so that all students have the technology they need to succeed.
