Simeon Samuel: 2025 Student Peace Award Recipient

Simeon Samuel, a senior at West Springfield High School, has been honored with a Student Peace Award for his exceptional commitment to fostering peace and understanding. His motivation stems from his personal experiences with violence in Ethiopia, which ignited a passion within him to make a tangible difference.

As a leader within the Spartans for War Victims and GIVE Youth organizations, Simeon has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at supporting those affected by conflict and creating a more inclusive community. These projects encompass a wide range of activities, from collecting and distributing essential aid to war-torn regions, to establishing welcoming learning environments and providing tutoring services within his local community. Simeon is a dedicated humanitarian, actively advocating for aid through various channels. He engages in national advocacy by writing to congress and demonstrates local commitment through education and mentorship within his community.

Through his leadership and dedication to service of others, Simeon Samuel exemplifies the power of young people to create positive change in the world. Congratulations to Simeon on this tremendous accolade!
