Distribution Update- 2020 Yearbook

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, yearbook printing and distribution was delayed when the yearbook plant was closed as a non-essential business.  Students can rest assured that the yearbook will be delivered this summer in late June or July.  We will share more information about yearbook pickup procedures when we get closer to the delivery date.  Thank you for your patience as we strive to deliver the 2020 yearbook in this unprecedented year.

Please email @email with any questions.

The Olympian is West Springfield’s award-winning yearbook.

Name Changes in the Yearbook

Students’ legal names from the SIS attendance and grading system will be used under their portraits in the yearbook.  With parent approval, a student may choose to use the nickname listed for them in SIS to identify their yearbook portrait rather than their legal first name.  To request this change, students must submit this Google Form by Wednesday, January 8th:  If the chosen name is not yet entered into the nickname section of SIS, parents must contact Student Services in writing by January 8th to make this change.

Senior Portrait Selection

Seniors: If you want to choose a specific pose from your senior photo package for the yearbook, you must make the selection before November 1.  Directions for choosing a pose can be found in this How to Select your Senior Portrait Pose for the Yearbook document. If you do not select a pose by November 1, the photography company will choose for you.  If you want your yearbook photo retouched by Candid Color, you must make your selection by October 11th. If you choose the same photo to purchase and to put in the yearbook, the retouching is free. If you want a different pose in the yearbook (or you are not buying a package), you must pay $25 for retouching.  Of course, you can select a photo that has not been retouched for the yearbook at no cost.
