Spartan Freshman wrestlers Elaina Primozic and Avana Harford, along with our Wrestling Coach Pat Smith, were honored by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday for their "trailblazing" efforts.

Paula De Megret-Murray was chosen as one of 30 students to attend JCamp (Journalism Camp) from a pool of more than 450 applicants across the United States. Paula will spend a fully funded week at American University to receive hands-on training from professional journalists.

Ballin’ with Buddies was organized as a unified basketball tournament where several schools - Rolling Valley Elementary School, Irving Middle School, Lewis High School and West Springfield, could come together for camaraderie, but also to showcase the competitive talents of its students.

Samuel Stankiewicz won first place in the Computer Science and Mathematics categories, and the overall Grand Prize for the Regional FCPS Science and Engineering for his project, "Simulated Brokerage for Novice Investors." Sam is the first West Springfield student (in known history) to win the Grand Prize.
