Join the WSHS Counselors this week as we take steps toward Mental Wellness

Mindfulness Monday

What does it mean to be mindful? It's tuning in,feeling calm, and having your mind be full of the NOW. At 8:10 am we will practice mindfulness through a school-wide 30 second deep breathing exercise in your classrooms .To learn more about adding mindfulness to your daily routine stop by the cafeteria during lunch.

Tenseless Tuesday

Did you know that laughter is good for your health? It improves blood flow, strengthens your immune system and reduces stress chemicals that can help you to relax. Come laugh with us,as we will be taking joke submissions during lunch. The best joke(s)  will win a prize.

Wellness Wednesday

Did you know that 20% of youth ages 13-18 live with a mental health condition? Find out what resources are available to support your mental well-being during lunch. Don't forget to wear green and diminish the stigma towards Mental Health!

Thoughtful Thursday

What ways do you cope with worry and everyday life? Come learn about positive coping strategies to deal with stressors. Sessions Include: One Acts by our Theater Department, Yoga and stress relief with Ms.Davies, Arts & Crafts, discussions with Counselors and more.

Forward Friday

What Is next? To end the week , bring your friends to Scream Fest at 7:55 am at the Stadium.  Scream out your stress and frustration as we move forward on a new path to mental wellness
