Congratulations to Tori Schnoor for being selected as the West Springfield Pyramid New Teacher of the Year. 

From the first day of her first year, Tori has challenged herself and her students to achieve academic excellence in the classroom. Working in tandem with her Special Education team teacher Paul Ponce, they developed an innovative system using formative, summative, and reassessments to track student learning. Thanks to their system, students knew what they were learning, how they were learning it, and when they knew they learned it. In just her second year, Tori was asked to present the system not just to West Springfield staff but also to staff at other high schools.  The most impressive thing about Tori is her constant desire to improve herself and hone her craft.  Tori is someone who commits themselves and their students to excellence, models lifelong learning and engrains themselves in the school community. Tori Schnoor is the epitome of an Outstanding New Teacher and deserves this wonderful recognition.
