District Five Virginia History Day

On Saturday, March 2nd twenty-nine West Springfield students competed at the District Five Virginia History Day competition at Mount Vernon High School. Over eighty projects were entered in the senior division this year, and fifteen West Springfield students placed in the top three in their category. Congratulations to the following students:

The 1st and 2nd place projects will continue on to the state competition on April 27th at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture in Richmond, VA. There they will compete against the top two projects from each of the eight districts in Virginia. Good luck and congratulations to all our students!
