The National Honor Society at West Springfield High School is an organization made up of students who exemplify academic excellence, strong leadership, good character, and willingness to serve others. Students are eligible to apply for membership in National Honor Society in their junior or senior year, provided they have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. In addition to academic excellence, selection for membership is based on leadership, service, and character. A faculty committee rates the criteria. National Honor Society members are then inducted during a special Induction Ceremony. Meetings are held throughout the year to plan school and/or community service projects. The National Honor Society participates in tutoring programs. West Springfield High School is proud to salute the academic excellence, leadership, character, and service displayed by the members of the National Honor Society.
