Congratulations to the West Springfield Scholastic Bowl team for their victory on the first round of It’s Academic! Parker Brown, Jonathan Wilson, and Caleb Pifer gave an excellent performance. Alternate Genevieve Perrella and team members Osvaldo Perez, Sara Alemayehu, and Ronaldo Melgar were there to cheer on the team. It’s Academic is TV’s longest-running quiz program. The students compete against two other schools, and the winning team advances to the next round. West Springfield will now participate in a play-off match on March 2^nd. The episode will air on NBC4 at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 30^th.
