For the last several years we have reached out to the West Springfield community to ask families of veterans to share photos, names, and relation to students.  We make them into posters and cluster them around the building.  We keep older posters so the clusters are representative of both current students and recent alumni as well.  Applied History students feel the posters reflect the depth and scope of the sacrifice military families (represented in all ranks, branches, as well as service at home and abroad).  Also, from the historian’s eyes, it is particularly enjoyable to see the legacies of multiple generations represented.
